Currently, the increasing amount of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in the atmosphere has become one of the environmental problems. This situation has a negative impact on climate change. Therefore, recycling CO₂ and converting it into useful products is an important scientific direction. Methane production through the reduction of carbon dioxide over oxide catalysts is one of the effective methods. The aim of the study: To prepare highly efficient oxide catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide into methane. The catalysts were prepared using conventional impregnation and solution combustion methods, and their structures were investigated using modern methods such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and gas chromatography. Scientific novelty and practical significance: As a result of the research, methane was obtained in the presence of Ni-Fe/γ-Al₂O₃ oxide catalysts. In addition, the main parameters determining the productivity of the carbon dioxide-to-methane conversion process were classified, and the indicators related to the stability and efficiency of the catalysts were compared. Results and conclusions: The catalytic activity and stability of the catalysts were investigated in the laboratory using an AKQ setup by feeding gases into the reactor at a flow rate of 100 μL/min within a temperature range of 200-400°C in 50°C increments. The temperature range of 300-450°C was found to be the optimal region for catalyst activity in the reaction of methane production through carbon dioxide reduction, with the methane yield reaching a maximum value of 97-99%.
