ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE USAGE
Editorial Review of Manuscripts
In order to ensure academic integrity, research transparency, and compliance with international publication standards, all manuscripts submitted to the journal's editorial office are subject to mandatory screening for plagiarism and content generated using AI technologies. The review is carried out by means of specialized software tools, including anti-plagiarism systems and AI detection tools.
Permissible Supplementary Use
The use of AI is permitted solely as a supplementary tool for technical and editorial support of scientific work and must not replace independent research, analytical, and authorship activities.
The use of artificial intelligence must be exclusively auxiliary in nature and meet the following criteria:
- preservation of the author's originality of the research;
- presence of independent scientific analysis;
- reliability and verifiability of results;
- correctness of scientific argumentation;
- transparency in the application of digital tools.
The use of AI is not permitted for:
- generating scientific results without the author's participation;
- automatic writing of significant sections of the article;
- creating fictitious scientific data, sources, or bibliographic references;
- replacing the author's analysis and scientific interpretation;
- imitating research activity.
Acceptable Level of Artificial Intelligence Use
The acceptable level of artificial intelligence use in the journal's scientific articles is determined by automated checking tools and on average constitutes:
- up to 10% - acceptable level of AI use without restrictions;
- from 11% to 20% - the article is sent back to the authors for mandatory revision in order to reduce the level of AI-generated content;
- over 20% - the manuscript is considered non-compliant with the journal's requirements and is subject to rejection by the editorial board.
The editorial board reserves the right to conduct additional expert evaluation of materials in cases where signs of excessive text generation using AI are detected.
Transparency of AI Use
Authors must disclose any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools or AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of the manuscript. The disclosure should clearly indicate the name of the AI model, the purpose of the tool, and the corresponding URL.
Information on the use of AI should be presented in the following format: «The authors used [Model Name] for [Description of the task or content generated with AI assistance]. corresponding URL».
If no AI tools were used during the preparation of the manuscript, the following statement should be included: «The authors declare that no generative artificial intelligence tools or AI-assisted technologies were used in the preparation of this manuscript».
Violation of Publication Ethics
The submission of a manuscript largely created by artificial intelligence without proper authorial revision and scientific analysis is considered a violation of publication ethics.
In the event that such violations are identified, the editorial board has the right to:
- reject the manuscript without the right of re-consideration;
- terminate further interaction with the authors regarding this publication;
- apply other measures in accordance with the journal's editorial policy.
Ethical Requirements
Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a scientific article, as they do not possess scientific accountability and cannot bear the obligations stipulated by international standards of publication ethics.
Authors are required to critically evaluate results obtained using AI, take into account possible errors, inaccuracies, and algorithmic bias, and ensure verification of the reliability of all presented information.
Authors' Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the content of the scientific article, the reliability of the presented data, the correctness of interpretations, scientific conclusions, bibliographic references, and compliance with the norms of publication ethics. All key scientific statements, analytical findings, and research results must be the product of the authors' independent intellectual activity.
